It is situated in the southern part of Valhalla Provincial Park, 2.7 km (1.7 mi) northeast of Gimli Peak, and 12 km (7.5 mi) west of Slocan and Slocan Lake. Mount Gladsheim adopted 7 May 1900 on Geological Survey sheet 791, West Kootenay, 1900, and so-identified in the 2nd Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 30 June 1900.
